Darragh Connolly qualified in horticulture from Writtle College (UK) in 1997 with an honours HND qualification in horticulture. This was a comprehensive course with all aspects of landscaping, horticulture and design being carried out. After qualifying, Darragh travelled extensively and this led to a wealth of knowledge and experience gained to build the business. He brings all his experience to his business.
Darragh set up his business in 2001 and ran a design and landscaping business to start with along with garden care and maintenance. But 8 years ago, the decision was made to focus purely on the garden care and maintenance side of the horticultural industry. Darragh has built the business up by assessing each and every garden on time requirements to keep it right and within budget for the client. Darragh Connollys moto is ‘We let the Designers Design, the Landscapers build and we Care and Maintain’
The majority of our work are private gardens, but we do carry out some commercial gardens too –mainly the offices of clients. Darragh is a member of ALCI, the Association of Landscape Contractors of Ireland, which is the recognised body that promotes high standards of work across the landscape industry in Ireland. Over the years, Darragh Connolly has won two awards for his work within the landscape industry. One for private gardens under €13K, the other for commercial projects under €63K. He sits at committee level within the association.
Darragh is also a family man. He is 45 years of age, husband to Nicole and father of three children. Sam (14), Freddie (13) and Rose (10). They tend to keep Darragh busy but when he has some down time windsurfing along with mountain biking are his keen interests.
His work is mainly in Dublin and North Wicklow. He regards himself as a person that carries out all work thoroughly, to the highest standards possible and takes pride in doing so. He builds his business through client referral and satisfaction. He is purely focused on garden care and will look after your garden like it’s his own.
